This is not an ordinary customized Harley. It is a one-of-a-kind 2008 Harley-Davidson Night Train transformed by legendary motorcycle designer and fabricator Russell Mitchell of Exile Cycles.

The original owner reportedly invested more than $67,000 in the build. I am only the second owner of this extraordinary motorcycle.

The Night Train was extensively customized with Exile Cycles components and finished in Exile’s unmistakable stripped-down, industrial style. The Exile logo is chiseled directly into the fuel tank, which is mounted “Frisco style” to give the bike its distinctive chopper profile. The sheet metal carries a black patina finish, while the component parts are coated in satin-black powder coat.

A jockey shift paired with a centrifugal clutch adds both serious chopper character and an unforgettable riding experience.

Unlike many ground-up customs, this motorcycle retains its original Harley-Davidson title, making it considerably easier to register and insure. It delivers the presence and craftsmanship of a hand-built Exile motorcycle with the reliability and ownership advantages of a Harley-Davidson platform.

This is a collectible piece of functional art built for someone who knows Russell Mitchell’s work and appreciates authentic Exile craftsmanship. Display it, collect it—or ride the hell out of it.

I have enjoyed owning this motorcycle, but I have too many toys and it is time for it to go to someone who will truly appreciate it.
