The Spyder® RS is powered by a proven Rotax® 990 V-twin engine with 106 horsepower and great torque for straight-shortening acceleration. Two five-speed transmissions are offered, both adding to the enthusiast experience: a traditional manual, the SM5; and a semi-automatic electronic SE5. With the SE5, shifts are made with the left thumb and forefinger – no clutching is required. Both include reverse for no-hassle maneuvering in tight spots.

Precise handling comes from the unique Y architecture – two wheels in front and one in back – and a sport-tuned, double-A-arm front suspension
