Long for the days of the original “Big Twin”, but don’t have enough tucked under the mattress to buy a ‘40’s Panhead . . . even IF you could find one intact? This might be the bike for you! For it’s short run as the LAST and lonely Springer remaining in the Harley-Davidson model line up (after 2011, there were NO more Springers) The Crossbones has become one of the most sought-after Springers made. It was a true “backyard” custom from the factory. This one has been “tweeked” a bit with the conversion to a more traditional bar set up, while leaving the factory “Spring saddle” in place. That, in itself, is a unique find. Most of those saddles were replaced by more modern “on the frame” saddles, and lost to history, but not this one. From the hind end, that BIG FAT tire under the bobbed fender gives it a modern hot rod booty with a traditional style front end. If you’ve never ridden a Springer, you might need to come take this one out for spin. There’s nothing quite like riding along and actually being able to SEE your suspension doing its work. It really gives you a feeling of “ONE” with the bike. . . and those “Von Dutch” style factory pinstripes! WOW!
