Harley Davidson 1980 AMF FLT Tour Glide with 37,000 miles. This is a unique bike loved by those that ride them. Less than 5,000 of these were built by Harley Davidson and American Metal Foundry (AMF) in 1980. The bike represents great technological advancements that really kept Harley Davidson going. It was the first Harley to come with a 5-speed transmission (basically used unchanged for 25 years until 2006). The first Harley with a new frame designed to used rubber mounts for the engine (again, basically the design that was used for three decades until 2009). The FLT has a unique, true dual-exhaust from the factory. The "sharknose" fairing is rigid mounted to the frame of the bike instead of to the handlebars, improving low-speed maneuverability. This model has the original, rare travel trunk, which itself is extremely sought after and valuable. The trunk and saddle bags have HD chrome that is still in excellent condition after 45 years. S&S carb recently cleaned, new jets, and adjusted. Starts, runs, and idles perfectly. Draws HD enthusiasts everywhere. The bike does leak oil. . . . I currently don't ride it daily, but it gets ridden several times a year only using ethanol free gasoline. A beautiful, original bike.
